Eddie learns that Ethan is his new mentor and tries to talk to Alicia. After a confrontation in the lift, he realises that she is scared of him. She also decides to swap all of her shifts. Later, Eddie asks her if they could put what happened behind them; Alicia reluctantly agrees.
At The Hope & Anchor, Jacob suggests to Sam that he could beat her in a boxing match, and they decide to put his theory to the test by sparring. Although Jacob initially has the upper-hand, she trips him up, and they end up sharing a kiss. However, Jacob immediately falls unconscious and is taken to the ED, where he is jovially mocked by his colleagues.
At work, Bea is summoned to the police station to collect her father Dougie. When she returns to work, Alicia reprimands her for walking out but, once she learns the truth, she asks Bea if she would like to stay at her house. Although she is initially hesitant and wants to be there for her father, she decides that she wants to look after herself and accepts Alicia's offer. Meanwhile, Elle investigates Connie's unusual amount of scheduled pathology tests.
