Synopsis
Blake reacts badly when Elle suggests spending Christmas at Marty's house. He decides to ditch school to drink with his friends. However, after they run out of vodka, they encourage him to steal a bottle from a local off-licence. He calls Jacob who takes him into the ED. Later, Elle tries to counsel him when he feels that he isn't loved, but a fight starts when Marty interrupts.
After the shopkeeper is taken into the ED, Elle gets Blake to apologise to him. Outside the department, she breaks up with Marty, claiming that he doesn't love Blake like he loves her. However, her attempts at bringing Blake back on side prove to be futile when he insists on going to a party. In the staff room, Elle drops a bombshell on Jacob - he is Blake's father.
Rash is surprised when old flame Jessie turns up at the ED requiring treatment. Still spiteful about their break-up, Jessie is reluctant to tell him about her accident. However, after Rash tells her that he was cheating on someone else with her, she admits that she has been purchasing beta blockers online to deal with her anxiety. She agrees to talk to someone about it but she discharges herself as Rash makes a call. She soon collapses after taking more beta blockers and is taken into resus. Feeling guilty for letting her leave, Alicia and David tells him that his actions saved her life. In ITU, he confesses to her that he lost his nerve and ran away.
Meanwhile, Max continues to make a bad impression on Polly, especially when she overhears him muttering Zoe's name in his sleep. Later, she calls her agency and is given a new job elsewhere. Template:Series 32
