Hi all,
It has been announced today that Erika Hossington has left her role as Casualty's series producer, and Lucy Raffety will be replacing her - you can ready both sources here and here.
UKTV's Drama channel will, once again, be broadcasting classic episodes of Casualty from 18th September.
By the looks of the show's page on the channel's website, they will be starting from series 23's "Farmead Menace - Part One". However, some sources have stated that, although they will start with series 23, they may re-air even older series.
Hi everyone,
This post is aimed at admins and moderators on the wiki, but all users are free to reply and voice their thoughts on the matter.
With the recent expand of the wiki onto social media and becoming more than just a wiki, I've come up with the idea to perhaps rebrand/rename the wiki to make it more like a Casualty fan site. The Friends Wiki is called Friends Central, and I think something like Casualty Central would work quite well as the new name of the wiki.
Nothing else would change apart from the wiki's name and our social media accounts. Wikia are happy to rename wikis too, so the logistics of it wouldn't be a problem.
Please let me know what you all think on such a move.
Hi again everyone,
Further to yesterday's announcement, it's come to my attention that some of the earlier episode synopsis on the wiki had also been copied from Holby TV. I have gone through and removed all the content by request.
To prevent this from happening again, anyone who is copying content directly from the site will receive a temporary block. If the behaviour continues, they will be issued with a permanent block.
The wiki is a fantastic place to source information for Casualty, but content shouldn't be copied from other sites. Since last year, I have succeeded in updating various main character pages with their full biographies and creating full episode synopsis since series 30's "Lie to Me". Note that none of this content was copied - it was all created by myself, and I'm sure a lot of you have created content and added it to the wiki too.
As for pictures which were discussed yesterday, character and episode images can be added, as it's essential for the wiki. However, please don't directly copy images from Holby TV and upload them to the wiki, as I'm sure a lot of time and effort has gone into sourcing them.
If you have any questions about this please feel free to post them below in the replies.
I hope you all continue to edit on the wiki and strive to make it the number one source of Casualty information!
Hi everyone,
Just to let you know, Holby.tv have been in touch and requested that all images from their site be taken down. As they've taken time to produce the content, it's not right that it's redistributed without their permission. As such, I've deleted all images from there off the wiki as a goodwill gesture.
In the future, please do not upload images directly copied from Holby.tv.
If you have any questions about this, feel free to discuss below.
Hello everybody!
I had the idea to merge the Casualty and Holby City wikias and here's how and why:

Thank you very much for reading and I hope the moderation team can discuss my idea.

Hi everyone,
Thank you all for your contributions to the wiki recently; it is much appreciated! I'm currently looking to get more of the articles in the "good article" remit, and therefore I'd be delighted if you would put forward any suggestions below. Prime candidates are any pages which you feel are meeting the requirements of the manual of style and also providing the best the wiki has to offer.
Secondly, you may have noticed that our presence on social media has skyrocketed over the past few days and weeks, as we're already on almost 300 followers on Twitter. We have been posting throwback clips from past series of Casualty, and again, please feel free to request any clips you'd like to see.
Finally, I have recently been thinking of running some sort of Casualty Wiki awards at the end of the series. This would maybe be around 10 - 20 awards to celebrate the best cast performances, characters and episodes of the series. Obviously there are the basic categories (e.g. best actor, best episode, etc.) but I'm currently looking for ideas on the others. Please share those below! Then, at the end of the series, I will likely start a top 10 list on the wiki, where people will be able to vote from the options available.
Please feel free to share any ideas, queries or Casualty-related questions below!
Hi everyone,
In case you haven't already noticed, I've updated the wiki's wordmark so it uses the font that is used for the "previously" at the start of episodes. Most files should be updated now with the new logo.
Hello all.
I have uploaded screencaps for both parts of "Reap the Whirlwind" and, as a treat, I have also uploaded images from the series 28 episode "Brothers at Arms" - Caleb Knight's first episode.
I hope you enjoy them. :)
Hi all,
It was announced months ago that a character would die in the spring. Although it was never revealed who, nearly everyone worked out that it would be Cal through BTS and cast filming pictures.
Earlier this week, it was revealed through magazine articles that the death would occur in this week's episode (April 29), and one even narrowed it down to being either Cal, Ethan or Alicia. The credits for episode 34, which airs on 6 May, were released today, with Ethan and Alicia credited.
Although we all know Cal will die, this information is not to be added to any article on the wiki. This is a result of BBC restrictions regarding spoilers, as this information can't yet be published. You may discuss the death and whatnot here freely, but please just don't add anything more to any articles.
Thank you, and tune in this Saturday at 20:10 to watch the drama unfold!
First off, thank you to everyone who's helped over the last few years with the wiki - it's really taken off! This post just outlines some of the recent changes to the wiki in general, editing and Project Holby.
The main page has recently been revamped, giving it a more structured look. There's a poll recently activated on there where you can anonymously vote to give your opinion on it. We're always looking for ways to make the wiki more user-friendly and accessible, so any feedback is great!
As you may have noticed, the icons in the top-right corner of pages have also had a revamp, with a new, more appropriate look. In addition, protection icons will now automatically be generated when pages are protected if they have the icons or out of universe templates in use. Visit their respective articles to find out more.
Also, we've managed to invoke a new icon, which links directly to a corresponding article on Holby City Wiki. This is mainly used on character pages, although can be created for others. To request a new HC character link icon, simply contact an admin.
On this wiki, you can automatically link to a Holby City Wiki article by typing [[hc:pagename]], but no alternative was present on HC Wiki. Now, we have a shortcut set up for Casualty Wiki links. Just type [[cas:pagename]] in order to link to an article here from HC Wiki!
It's always been a lengthy process when a new episdoe is released to update both a character page or centric episodes list as well as the character navbox. For this reason, a new template has been created which will need editing, but will automatically transfer to the articles and navboxes. To find out more about editing these articles, please message me directly.
So, this just about concludes it for now. Let me or one of the other admins know if you have any problems with the new features listed above.
Later this month, we can expect to see another two-part episode hit our screens; the first since the "Fatal Error" episodes last series. In this dramatic two-parter covering the series' 32nd and 33rd episodes, we can expect to see the return of the Ellisson family, the continuation of the doctors' strike storyline, as well as the much anticipated accident where Lily is hit by a car.
The episodes, titled "Reap the Whirlwind" will air on 22 and 29 April. The guest cast for Part One includes Dame Sian Phillips, who will be appearing as a patient. In addition, Rebecca Ryan, Tom Chambers and Billy Angel will all be appearing as their respective recurring guest characters.
Watch this space for more details when we know more. Meanwhile, find out more information about Part One and Part Two.
Hi all,
If you're wishing to stay entirely spoiler free, stop reading now!
Images just posted on Twitter of filming of episode 40 showed Charles Venn, Jaye Griffiths and Azuka Oforka were still filming. This means their respective characters will not be the one to be killed off.
This news furthers a previous inadvertent spoiler, where Michael Stevenson, Cathy Shipton and Lloyd Everitt were seen filming after the funeral episode, guaranteeing their characters' survival too.
Amanda Mealing is also still currently filming at the studios (as of late March), and therefore has not left the cast as the character death either.
With all this information taken into account, it's now narrowed down to just 10 possible candidates for the death. Who do you think it will be? Only about 7 episodes to go now!
See here for all screencaps from the recently released trailer!
Tonight, the BBC released the winter trailer for Casualty, which gives a preview of events to take place between now and around March next year. In the trailer is:
And much more! We're sure that the new year will bring lots of character development and exciting storylines. Watch the trailer here now!
With thanks to our community for all their effort, we can announce that Casualty Wiki has just hit 2000 pages. We hope that the wiki will continue to grow in the future for another 2000 pages!
Back in August, it was revealed that Rik Makarem had joined the cast as a new F1 doctor, Sebastian Grayling. Casualty Wiki can now reveal that he is due to make his first appearance in episode 10 of the series, "Shock to the System", which is due to air on 29 October.
Today (31 August), the BBC released a new trailer for the Autumn episodes of Casualty. In a dramatic 2 and a half minute compilation, a variety of events can be seen.
This includes Grace's recovery, guest appearances from Holby City's Jac Naylor, Sam Strachan and Guy Self, Robyn's wedding, Charlie and Duffy kissing, new F1 doctor Sebastian Grayling's introduction, Jez and Max sleeping together and David getting in contact with his son.
The events shown in the episode will span anywhere from episode 2 this week until Christmas.
