On 8 September 2007, F2s Toby De Silva and Ruth Winters began their first shift at Holby City Hospital's emergency department, whilst senior charge nurse Charlie Fairhead celebrated his 35th year of service to the NHS. On the same day, a peroxide bomb detonated on a coach on Hesketh Road, resulting in dozens of casualties. (CAS: "My First Day"; "Charlie's Anniversary")
